When social media stopped being optional for growth
In “When social media stopped being optional for growth,” the discussion centers on the moment a fence business can no longer treat social media as a side project, but as a core growth tool. The guest reflects on starting with almost nothing beyond Facebook — no polished website, no Google presence, no reviews, and no real understanding of ads or platforms. What began as simple before-and-after posts evolved into a consistent habit of showing up online, learning what worked, and using social media to get in front of homeowners who might not need a fence today, but could become customers months or even years later. The bigger takeaway is that growth requires bigger thinking. Social media may not scale a company forever on its own, but it can build brand awareness, create trust, and keep a contractor visible in a market where traditional advertising is losing reach. The episode offers a practical reminder for fence and gate business owners: start with what you know, post consistently, improve over time, and use every digital tool available to stay top-of-mind. In an industry where customers often research long before they buy, being visible online is no longer optional — it’s part of doing business.

I'll just post before and after. I don't know. I just If you look at my social media, you'll see where it it's it it starts trending, right?
