Meet the Vendors Coming to Demo Days Florida
This episode spotlights several vendors preparing for Demo Days Florida, emphasizing hands-on product demos, industry training, and the strong community behind the event. Brian T. Frederiksen speaks with Brian from Slat Warehouse about their fence screening products, including tube slats, wing slats, and ridged slats, with a focus on durability, easy installation, and color options. The conversation also highlights plans for an interactive booth competition where attendees can install slats and see the products in action. Slat Warehouse’s role at Demo Days reinforces the event’s practical, contractor-focused format. The episode also features Bam from Expert Professional Wood Care, who discusses the company’s refreshed branding, upgraded stain machine, and the upcoming Stain and Seal University in Lebanon, Tennessee. He emphasizes training that covers not just staining techniques but also business practices like estimating and profitability. Next, Kevin from Orlando Hinge Company explains his adjustable “Swan Hinge” designs for uphill gates and chain-link applications, showing how the products solve common slope and gate-alignment problems. Finally, Rowdy from NW Quickpull introduces a lighter, more affordable Quickpull Junior for driven posts while retaining the original model for concrete footings, underscoring Demo Days as a major East Coast showcase for innovative fence and gate tools.
Brian sits down with four exhibitors — Slat Warehouse, Expert Professional Wood Care, Orlando Hinge Company, and NW Quick Pull — for a series of short vendor spotlights previewing what they're bringing to Demo Days Florida, March 26-27 near Orlando. #DemoDaysFlorida #FenceIndustry #FenceTools 11-18-2025

(8,836 words)Hey,
Hey.
All right, we got Brian here with Slat Warehouse. How you doing, man? I am good. How are you, Brian? Good. I don't think we've seen you since uh the show. No, no, we have not. Everything. That was a great show, by the way. Thanks. Yeah. And the show we're talking about, everybody's listening, was Defense Show and Security Expo in Las Vegas uh this last October, so last month. So, it's uh Man, I swear it just time just flew by since then. It feels like that was yesterday. I know. Holidays are right around the corner. I know. But hey, thanks for coming on. We do want to tell um everybody that uh you know, make an introduction, tell everybody you're going to be there at demo days, which we were super excited to have you guys sign up for the demo days uh in Florida. So, oh, look, you got slats falling. Someone's going to go install those. Looks like somebody somebody probably snuck those out. Those slats have just fell behind you. probably pull them out from behind you, right? Well, you don't lean them up like that. So, I've got some of your slats behind me right now. Yeah. Yeah, you do. So, these are your tube slats. Tell me a little bit about these tube slats. I mean, you we use a lot of your products, so uh we love these bottom lock slats. Tell me about these ones. Absolutely. And again, thanks for having me on, by the way. Um but, uh yeah, no, the tube slat is the kind of the industry standard, if you will. Uh it's everybody calls a bottom lock and we've got those in every height, every color, uh every combination, every job lot size. I can ship them out immediately. Um but those are definitely the industry standard. Nice flat face panel. Um super, you know, pretty straightforward to install and slats in the background. Um and it's not a real job unless you unless you've trip you're not really even in the fence business to tripped over a bag of slats yet, right? Exactly. Exactly. Um, but yeah, no, that's that's one of our three profiles, the tube slat, and then we also have the wing slat, we call it solitube, and we have the riged slat, uh, which is um kind of the, uh, we'll call it the budget slat, I guess, is maybe a good way to put it. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. So, the riged ones, I've seen those before, and it's just kind of like one-sided, but it's got like a it's got like a wave to it, right? We've seen it. Is Absolutely. In fact, here I've got a couple samples here. If I can put them up in front of the camera, you can kind of see, but it has a Yep. uh kind of a riged kind of a Wshape Mshape to it. And uh these are actually easier to install. They're less expensive by the bag and they are the cheapest to ship because they nest and so they take up very little space on a pallet. Yeah. And don't underestimate those if you're listening because uh we've used those a bunch of times and we've never had any problems. No one's ever called and said, "Hey, these things are falling apart. They're breaking or anything like that." They hold up, you know, even out here in the high of the heat and the climates that we have in Las Vegas. Yeah. Same durability, but a great option if you haven't tried them before. Yeah, the slats we have behind us was an order for Las Vegas fence. Um, everybody that everybody is listening probably knows that uh you know, we I also we run Las Vegas fence companies. So, uh, a pallet of that those came in and I luckily snagged one. I think it was like the last one on the pallet. It must have been, you know, the order little 10% extra for a project. So, u went in pretty quick. You know, love slats. in um we were just talking a second ago off camerara about possibly over at demo days uh you guys bringing in some slats and us timing some people opening a bag and putting them in. Yeah. Yeah. Well, since it's more of a hands-on approach type of an expo, that was where my brain was going. So, I think what I'm going to do is bring out some uh a bigger gate panel, maybe a 4 foot, 5 foot, whatever I can get on a pallet and uh have a competition at the booth, see who can come by and put them in the fastest and we'll give you away free shipping or I'll come up with some really good prize for it and yeah, make it fun. Yeah, I'll tell you what. Um, whoever
Wins, whoever's the quickest at putting in them slats, they get to pull them out and keep them. That'll be uh That's your prize. And take them home with them on the plane. Exactly. Anybody Anybody that installs them gets to take them home. That's the prize. That's what you free of charge. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So, we're we're jazzed about demo days uh coming up. It's coming up quick. It's only like a good four months away, March 26th to the 27th. So, you can still go to fencow.com. uh go ahead and register to attend if you're interested in um actually getting a booth or anything like that. This is this is a this is an event ran by Fence Show. So if you like how um the experiences you have at Fence Show and Security Expo in Las Vegas, uh it's the same crew putting this together. So you can expect the same kind of professionalism, the uh the structure, the badging, the lead scanning, everything that you would normally get in being able to communicate back and forth through Fence Social app. Everything that was built for the Fence Show is going to be utilized um at this event as well. So everything that you enjoyed about the fence show, it's going to be over here in Florida. We're excited. Same down to entertainment. Maybe not exactly the same entertainment, but pretty close. Well, the fence show is very entertaining for anybody that hasn't been. It's that's it's a very entertaining show to go to. So So same same site, fenceshow.com. Go ahead and get registered for that. If you need a booth, reach out to us. Uh reach out to any either myself or susanfshow.com and we can help you get a booth. Brian, we are super excited to have Slat Warehouse there. Uh well hopefully if you have any last minute things you want to talk about slats. Uh you know we love slats. Yeah. No. Hey just just give me a call if you haven't uh you haven't tried us yet. You'll be impressed. I promise. How do they reach out to you if they're interested in ordering some slats? Uh so we've got a uh best number to call me on is 8017968800. Uh that's going to be the main line. Or you can reach me at balboa b- a lb ba balboa slatwarehouse.com. Okay. or slatwores.com is your main um website. Slatware.com is the website. Yep. Okay, great. You got it. Everybody that's uh tuning in, we appreciate you uh getting over to the fence show or demo days. Reach out to us if you need anything. Reach out to Brian if you need some slats. Thank you. Thanks, Brian. Thanks a lot. Thanks a lot. Okay. All right. We're sitting here with Bam from Expert is it Man, I know I always say it wrong sometimes. Expert stain. I call it Expert Stain and Seal. Is it Seal University? What's going on, man? Oh, doing great. Doing great. So, uh I get expert professional wood care, right? And then, uh Stain and Sill University, that's going in March fourth and fifth this year. I love all the rebranding. I mean, it is it is really really cool. The last year or two, you guys have went through some rebranding with all that, right? Yeah, we we've just uh spiced it up a little bit. Got our marketing team has uh outdone themselves. Uh they're constantly on the move of uh new new packaging, new innovations, uh just things that uh to show us out a little bit better. Yeah. So, look at these new buckets. So, you had labels and stuff before, but now these are just I mean everything about what you Caleb and everybody does over there is just nothing but professionalism. And I guess that's in the name too, right? Absolutely. Well, as an expert, you gota sort of live up to it sometimes, right? So has to have to uh be the expert. You have to look like the expert sometimes. And that's what this is is uh just new packaging, new labels on the buckets. Actually preprinted on the buckets. Uh and then the the one gallon paint cans with the log and timber. Those have uh been upgraded uh to new standard paint cans. So that's nice. I mean, I love it. Like I said, I love everything you guys are doing, right down to the new logos to the new, you know, everything that's going on with it. So, um, tell me tell me the the the direction everything you guys got going on. I know even uh even
Some of the machines everything has that been changed a little bit or I mean these look these look pretty traditional, but uh there looks like definitely some new features on them. Absolutely. Absolutely. So, we have done probably three or four different versions that we've upgraded and finally got the the version that we uh like the best of the stain machine. So it's uh you have uh multiple different changes on it. A bigger hole, bigger drain hole, right? Cuz the number one problem with everything is sawdust. So that bottom hole, it would get clogged up. So we doubled the size of that hole. So therefore, it don't get clogged up anymore. Yeah. pretty much, you know, but a as we have uh new customers, customers that use it, uh if they have an issue, we go back to the drawing board and have them revamp it at the uh at the manufacturing side. Yeah. No, it's great. I mean, I you know, and and you know, Caleb and um Ashley and everybody's been a huge supporter of everything we've done through the fence shows and stuff throughout the years, even from day one. And um I know I went to um one of the universities you guys had one year um which was this one actually. It was that picture when you were there. It was this actual Yeah. I was going to say this one looked really really familiar. I think that's Tom Reber up there right now. Right. That's it. Correct. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So that's why this looked really even more familiar, right? This was picture that I had. So I didn't know if it was one I saved from something else. But nonetheless, this was uh this was probably one of my favorite events uh you know when I was first starting out that I went to. Um it's second only to the fence show. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Hey. Well, no. It it better be second. in your eyes anyway. In mine anyway, but I might be biased. Exactly. But uh nonetheless, it was really uh it was really inspiring to see um what you guys have done and how how how you bring people together and what you do to train them, you know. So um and I know you guys will be over at demo days uh coming up, you know, March 26th, 27th in Florida. So um please tell Caleb and everybody I said thanks for um jumping on that, you know, so quick and being one of the first people to get a booth. Awesome. Yes. Yeah, we we're we're excited about coming down there. The uh uh we'll be premiering the expert stain machine uh and also the stain. So, you'll be able to get your hands on the machine, see how it works, uh get your hands on the stain, uh smell the stain or or don't smell the stain. Ultra low BC, there's not a lot of smell to it. So, uh actually be able to see how it works and how it functions. Yeah. So, I know you guys get asked this a lot and I I every time I see um you guys on podcasts or people talking um it it fluctuates. What's I don't know and I don't know if you're part of that um that part of it, but what's what's what's the most popular stain color right now? It's always and I believe will always be pecan. Pecan, I hear that a lot. It's medium brown. That's pretty much just what people like. So, uh, pecan. I have it on my deck, my neighbor's fence, my neighbor's shelters. So, all right. Uh, it's just it's my one of my favorite colors. I just like the look of it. It, uh, gets you a long life as well as a beautiful look. Yeah. I like, um, well, I mean, when when I start doing staining, uh, you know, at some point up here, I'm going to I think I think my favorite is that uh, Sriracha pistachio, you know, it's just one of my favorite play my flavors. So, pistachio. What is that? I don't know. I'm just, you know, I think it's going to sell really well. No, don't don't give Caleb any ideas. Don't I think it's going to sell really well. We got a new color. Sriracha, whatever. No. So, Sriracha pistachio is an untapped market. I'm telling you, nobody's making it. You guys will make a killing. Well, I don't know about that, but you give him an idea. We're liable to make it. So, but I'll text I'll text Caleb right after this. But uh but um besides the fence show that you guys uh help us out on every
Year and come to and then demo days um you're let's let's talk a little bit about um your guys' stuff coming up here for the stain and seal university. So um if anybody wants to check out the experience or have the experience that I had when I went which was quite moving and I swear it made me want to come back and and switch all my trucks over to staining. That's exactly how how fired up and energized I was after coming to um one of these universities. So, um, the next one you got coming up is March 4th to the 5th, 2026, of course. Um, and where, tell me a little bit about it. Where's it going to be at and how do you get to it? So, the the picture you have before it was uh in Alexandria, our hometown, uh, at the fairgrounds here. Now, this next year, we're going back to our original spot in Lebanon, Tennessee. It's where they have the state fairgrounds. So, at the fair grounds there, we have a much larger building, larger facility that hold a lot more people. As you seen, that room was packed. Uh, and you're at about 250 something like that. So, we're anticipating 500 plus at this event. Um, lots of uh vendors coming, much uh lot of handson training, a lot of uh business training as you as you mentioned. It's it's all the way around. We try to touch on all aspects from staining to to business to how do you quote jobs to your money, right? A lot of times this is gets into the money matters because because that's what people want to know. How do I make money and how how do I get how do I cash them checks? Yep. Yeah. And I know um like I said, everything you guys do is is topnotch. So I know I'll be there. I was just uh talking to Caleb said, "Count me in." So, you'll see anybody wants to, you know, come pick up some t-shirts or hoodies or something from FWA, we'll be definitely there. So, um, we're looking we're looking forward to that. There's no doubt. What, um, give me some last minute, uh, last minute things. I know we're getting I know if I know if you guys want to come see if you're in Florida and you want to come see, uh, see the team, get over to demo days, uh, right out of Orlando. Go to fencshow.com, register for that. Uh, go to what's the website you can go to to register for, uh, your event coming up in March, which is only a couple hours. I got staininguniversity.com. staininguniversity.com and they'll be able to sign up uh you can purchase uh purchase your tickets uh at a uh a low price at the beginning it goes up after January and then at the at the event it's going to be more so yeah and I mean you say 500 I think you'll have 750 plus there well our marketing team has predicted a thousand we are being cautiously cautiously optimistic at 500, right? I think I think we will we will take care of them all. I think you'll hit it. I think you guys are going to create one of the biggest events on the east. So, I'm uh I'm pretty excited to see it evolve and couldn't, you know, couldn't be more excited about a better group of people doing it. So, uh Bam, thank you for coming on here. Anybody that was tuning in or watched this, thank you for tuning in. We will see you at your university and then over at Demo Days. Absolutely. See you there. See you there. All right. All right. We got Jason here from Cat Five Gates, man. How you been? Been pretty good, man. Yourself? Good. Good. I think I've seen you since uh over at the show. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I saw you a couple times there and talked to you and Susan several times since then about the new demo days going on. So, pretty excited for that, man. Yeah. Demo days is going to be something else. We're glad uh we're glad you were one of the first few people to jump on that. Coach, this is uh your stomping ground if I'm if I'm correct. That's right. That's right. About an hour away. It's not that bad. But yeah, it's it's it's an easy trip. It beats driving or flying out to Vegas for the show. So, I do appreciate you guys coming to the East Coast. It definitely helps. Yeah. Well, actually, I think um I don't know what your audio I'm going to start over, though. Okay. Hang on a second. All right, everybody. We're uh we're sitting here with Kevin from Orlando Hinge and we are super jazzed. Kevin, you've been a big supporter of ours throughout the years. So, we can't thank you enough um you know for coming to our events and participating and uh showing
Off your hinges. So, I love it. I love it. So, and you guys are awesome. I mean, it's such a positive positive energy. I just want to be part of that, you know. Yeah, it's always great. You always bring that energy yourself, you know, to all these events and stuff. But um we got you on here today though to not just talk about your hinges, but uh and we're gonna circle back to it. But uh you're gonna be at Demo Days in Florida. Yes, I am very excited. So we got that going on everybody that's tuning in March 26th to the 27th in Orlando, which uh coincidentally kind of uh kind of ties right into you guys, Orlando Hinge Company, right? So yes, go to fencow.com just like you'd be registering for the fence show um except you'll see another link for demo days. um to pop up and register to attend. Um if you wanted to obviously exhibit, reach out to one of us on that as well. But um a lot of exciting stuff coming from that. But um Orlando Hinge Company, tell me about that. I mean, is that actually in Orlando? No. So it just kind of worked out as like a double kind of kind of play on words a little bit because my last name's Orlando. And so but we trying to do something, you know, people can remember a little bit, you know, cuz it's it's familiar. Um, and then we're close to Orlando. We're about 45 minutes outside of Orlando, straight to the coast up by the Space Center where they shoot the rockets up. So, it just kind of ties in together like that. So, um, yeah. So, what do you guys specialize in? I mean, I think we all know you as the Swan Hinge and the up, you know, if if you ever heard of Swan Hinge and things like that, the uphill. I mean, I when I think anything is swinging uphill, I automatically think of you guys. That's awesome. Um yeah, that was the goal because you know I've been well basically you know I work at a fence company um for quite a while now and in Florida we don't have you would think everything's flat. It's not flat you know on the side of the houses everything slopes down for water runoff and and so people want to put these double guard gates in their 10ft sideline and it was just got tired of you know telling people it's gonna look crappy you know or we can't do it or you know or you got to do all this digging out or whatever. So I couldn't find anything that was going to work. So So we designed these and and we started using them ourselves back in 2018 and we're using them for years. And then 2023 we um just opened up a little side company just so we could offer them to whoever could use them to use them to sell their sell the fence to the customers the way the customers want them. So yeah, so it's been working out really good. Really good feedback. Um, [snorts] you know, we're we fabricate. So, we it's not like like we do a lot of custom stuff with getting getting more and more orders for a lot of custom stuff. So, we do everything in house. So, it's not like we have to order 500 units or something and get, you know, getting things made or whatever. We could just make whatever you need to get your get you accomplished what you need to do. So, yeah. I'm going to pull up the um I want to circle back to the chain link ones because um you know that's always been an issue with chain link gates. How you going to get them swing up? You're either cocking the hinges or using some of those gravity hinges. There's a few options out there but nothing's ever been really good for chain link. We've got some of those longer hinges where you can weld where one hinge is a little longer than the other and you weld them at certain spots and make it go. But not really anything that worked for chain link. So I do want to circle back to chain link. But let's pull up your standard hinge. Yeah. And that was that was the problem. The only thing I found, sorry I mean to interrupt you, but that was the only thing I found was to weld on strap hinges, you know, and how does that work with vinyl? How does that work with wood? You know, so it just wasn't practical and it wasn't easy cuz now you have to be able to weld in the field. You have to have somebody smart enough to, you know, put get all the angles right and and it just seemed like a lot of work where this is just a simple bolt on exchange of the normal hinge for for this hinge. exchange it, bolt it on the same way you would, and you go on to the
Next thing, and you don't make a big deal out of it anymore. So, yeah. When you started this, did you just like sit in your garage and say, "How am I going to make these gates work?" Or were you building these h or these hinges work? Were you building these hinges like for yourself at the fence company, and you just said, "Hey, I'd like to introduce these." Um, well, we had customers that were asking for us to do certain gates, you know, certain ways. And I was um I was so frustrated, you know, that we couldn't do it or, you know, it just wasn't an easy conversation to have during the sales process. How are we going to do this? How, you know what I mean? It becomes a problem, not whatever. So, we came up with a solution instead of a problem. Um, and it was a work in progress. I mean, we've done this is probably the fifth iteration of where we the ones we started with. um you know just trying to work out the bugs and try to make it simple because you know trying to get my own guys to put them on it and not get everything complicated where they could do it easy enough. So we've we've tried to simplify it as much as possible and make it easy and as inexpensive as possible, you know, and a lot lot easier than, you know, hey, you got to dig out, you know, dig out your yard and it's not going to look good and you're going to ruin your drain, you know, everything. So this is just it's just so we started I I mean honestly Brian I started with a couple blocks of wood. So and then we went from there and you know being in the in the you know fabricating and everything like that everything that we've done here you know we got welders here so we could play and mess around with stuff see what works see what doesn't work and make adjustment make adjustments really quickly. So that's a a benefit of that. Um so yeah. Yeah. So, tell me about this hinge right here. Um, and I know you're going to be able, by the way, anybody that's tuning in, you're going to be able to see this hinge at demo days coming up in Orlando, right out of Orlando. So, March 26th to 27th. But, um, you get to see this thing in action. We'll get these things mounted on something or you'll have Yeah, we're going to we're going to show them mounted on gates so you can see them work cuz obviously it's not a thing you buy cuz it's pretty. You buy it because of what it could do. So, we'll get them all get them all there. This so this is my simple different iteration of this one. This one happens to be for vinyl. You got your top hinge there, which is your standard vinyl hinge that a lot of guys use, and then you got the the swan hinge you put on the bottom. They're adjustable for how much gap you need. Um, so you can get more gap, less gap. Um, they're adjustable for gate gaps as well as lift, heights, and and uh so pretty flexible. Um, and then we have custom stuff. If somebody has something dramatic that they need to do or accomplish, you know, we'll do that, too. I don't we don't advertise a lot of that stuff, but it everything's when somebody says, "Hey, can we do this?" I'm like, "Yeah, we could we could do that." So, yeah. So, you can adjust. It looks like you can adjust this hinge to how much you want it to swing up depending on how big the alligator is that's sitting outside your gate that you need to swing up over or something. Yeah, we try to keep the alligators in the yard. So, we want to make sure they don't get out underneath the gate. So, yeah. Um, so it's adjustable for the gap and then you could adjust how much lift it gets based on um there's a slide adjustment on these plus uh the positioning of these hinges changes how much lift you get. So this is basically what the hinges look like. And then we have one that fits on aluminum gates and aluminum posts. So you know walk gates. And then we have one that maybe set up better for wood. And we have customers that like using inch and a half metal gate frames on wood posts. We have customers using inch and a half metal gate frames on wood on, you know, wood post, metal post, whatever. So, so we could we have a couple other wood styles that I'll always ask somebody, what kind of gate frame are you using? Are you using a metal, wood? So, I'll send out the right screws and make sure you have the right size. Make sure that all they got to do is go and bolt it up and you're good to go. So, getting all that
Information from people. Everybody's a little bit different how they how they doing. So, you know, how's the weight rating on these? And um like I mean, can you use these on automatic gates? Is there an issue with anything like that? So, my heavy duty hinges, you know, so most automatic gates are going to be bigger, like driveway gates. So, we'll make we'll make stuff for that. Um, you do have to check with the operator that you're using. So, because these hinges are going to want to make the gate self close because of gravity, So, you have to make sure the operator normally when a gate goes to close, the the operator is pushing the gate closed. Now, the gate's going to be pulling on the operator instead of the operator pushing on the gate. I'm not an operator guy, but I know there sensitivity settings in a lot of operator motors and stuff. You have to have that right. Otherwise, once the gate starts going, the operator could send off codes, you know, hey, this this isn't working the way it was supposed to. Um, uh there are a lot of uh like even like the pad mounted operators where you'll put if you need a lot of lift, you'll put like an articulating arm on that to hook up to the gates. So, let the gate go up and down. So, yeah. So, that's not a problem. It's just a matter you have to use the right operator and have everything, you know, correct on it for it to work. So, because it will cause that self-closing feature. So, so when you started out, you were doing mainly for vinyl, iron, things like that would, but then ones like like these chain links I'm showing in the pictures now. Did you add these later? Yeah, I added I first I added the residential chain link, which I have, which bolt on the same exact way as a regular chain link hinge. And then these I I came out with I started making them out of aluminum. These are aluminum in the picture here. I started going with a steel. A lot of guys are using bigger gates. Um so now I'm using uh steel uh on most of the chain link. Um so people people just asking, hey, can you do this? And we're like, yeah, we could do that. And we did it. And we tested it out. You know, we do a lot of testing here and we send them out there and I get a lot of good feedback. Um, a lot of times somebody has a big gate. It's a 15 foot gate. You don't want the gate to lift 20 inches if you only need six. So, I'll get all that information from somebody. I'll put it in my CAD program, do the correct offset and send them the hinges. I'll give them the spacing on the hinges. So, all they got to do is bolt them on. Um, yeah. So, we've done these are three. I just had a guy say, "Hey, do you do four?" You know, I don't have a lot of these listed on the website because most of these are custom. You know, I don't want people going to the website and just ordering stuff if it's not going to work for them. So, I'll definitely communicate with them and get them the right product. So, turn around, you know, two two weeks. You know, these don't look like they have the same adjustment to the other ones we were just looking at. So, they they don't have the height adjustment in and out, but you'll have the height adjustment based on where you place them on the gate and on the post. So, the closer the hinges are together, the more lift you're going to get. Nice. And you've got pre-drilled holes it looks like. So, you get to put selftappers or whatever you can whatever you want to use to attach in there. And that's comes with comes with the screws. I had some guys saying, "Hey, they want to weld them on." So, you know, I'll set them up so they can weld them on. I've had guys with square post. A lot of guys with square post and round, you know, one and 5/8 gate frames. So, I'll set them up. One side will be square for a square post, the other side will be for the the gate frame. I had one guy needed 6x6 bracket on the post. So, we did that. Um, yeah. So, we'll just set them up to how they need to be. They're very these have a lot more adjustments than you think. And also on the gate side, they're slotted. So you could also make sure your gates are plum when they meet in the middle, especially a double drive gate. You don't want the bottom of gate sticking out further than the other ones. So we took care of those adjustments, too, on that. So these all go out with those. Really cool. Are we going to have some
Of these at demo days to look at? Yeah, I'm gonna have I'm gonna stock up on a table of stuff and I'll have a couple displays and and I'll be there both days, you know, answering questions and getting feedback. You know, I want to see feedback. So, there you have it everybody. We got Kevin with Orlando Hinge Company that came on to show us some of his products. And if you want to see these things with your hands and touch them and installed and play with them and and see how these things work in real life, get over to demo days um this March 26th and 27th coming up in Orlando. Go to fentshow.com and get registered. Kevin, thank you for your time um coming on here and uh discussing some of your hinges. I know everybody's excited to actually get out and and see them themselves. So, um any last minute things you want to you want to add? Anything you want to say to everybody before we before we go? No, I I appreciate, you know, business has really picked up. I really appreciate all the support and feedback I'm getting from everybody and everything you guys are doing. So, thanks for having me on. Great. Thanks. All right, you guys. We will see you in Florida.
All right, we got Rowdy here with NW Quickpull. What's going on, man? Hey, I'm just getting excited. I mean, the closer we get, hey, look, how long is it? Well, it's only a couple months away. Doesn't it feel like we're always a couple months away from something? Hey, right now we are starting right into the trade show season. And I got to tell you, because of stuff like this, the trade show season is going to look very different in the future. Very different. Yeah. Yeah. This is the So, we're talking about everybody that's listening, we're talking about uh Demo Days. And Demo Days is going to be pretty cool. And Demo Days, we're excited. We're bringing the We're bringing the show to you. So, if there was ever a show that God, I wonder what's going on. I wish I could go out to Las Vegas and see one of those big trade shows. Oh, no. We're bringing the people, the products. We're bringing We're coming to you. I'm coming from Washington State all the way down to Orlando, Florida. And get this, I'm literally driving so I can shake hands with people all across America, doing demonstrations all the way down there so that when I get there, I have a decent demonstration. Yeah. And in case you're wondering why, I mean, we we we be we get hammered all the time about when you going to come to the east coast because I mean, there's a there's a large group of people that from the east that never go to the west, people in the west that never go to the east. I mean, you're you obviously are flying all over. You've got something going on every other week, right? And um it's a whole different ballgame, but this is really cool. So this is this is uh FWA fence show everything all one just kind of going to the east coast over to Florida except we realized that you remember demo days uh not this year but last year um at the fence show super cool a lot of fun but uh it was too hard to do at the exact same time as the fence show and uh you know have everybody going in and out. So um doing this in Florida is just a perfect fit. I mean right near Orlando, 30 minutes away from Disney World. Are you guys gonna go to Disney World? No, because I'm busy. I'm busy. My imagination's going wild thinking what's a splash pad and then there's tricycle races. I can't wait to race US Hammer and Saul Fence in a tricycle race. I seen that track. I mean, this we're not talking about like uh you know, extreme sports like you know uh monster trucks and that guy. No, no, no, no. We're talking tricycles. No jumps. No jumps. No mud bogs. No, it's just tricycles on a flat track. There may be no jumps right now, but we're fabricators, so uh you know, give it two days out there with all the all the equipment and stuff. You never know, right? But no, no, I'm just kidding. I don't want anybody building jumps, okay? This is not We don't need jumps out here. But yeah, but you're right. We're talking competition styles. We're going to have two heats, one for the kids and one for the adults because these are adult uh rated. So, we're going to be sitting there riding these trikes around the track. And it's not just like some trikes in a parking lot with some cones set up. We're talking about a fullblown uh We're talking about a full-blown uh track, right? You've seen it. I did see it. I saw I saw the last uh you was talking to that lady that's uh that's hosting it, I guess, is what it is you might call it, right? And she was telling us about it. I'm thinking, who's the guy that certifies a tricycle for an adult? I mean, if you're that guy, how do you determine, oh, yeah, this is suitable for oldf. I mean, look, take a look. This is uh just one of the difficult events. So, uh bring your kids. There's no doubt, right? Because uh you know, you don't picture us out here running around on these things. Look at that. Bring your kids. I don't have to borrow some. Our kids are all getting a little bit older. But, uh you know, being that you're going to be at this thing and I want to pull this thing up, um you know, to let everybody know uh what your booth number. You actually were one of the first few people in there, I think, if not maybe even the first. Right. I got in there picking your booth. It's on my resume that I am very proud to say that I am the first vendor to
Sign up with the FWA at their first show and I don't want to ever lose that status. I love doing this stuff with you. Yeah. How do you take that away? When you when you when you have these events, I want to be the continue being the very first sponsor, the very first guy to sign up for it because it's always fun. Brian, you you and I always have a good time and then we bring in exciting and fun people like Sean King. Yeah. It's just the energy. I mean, the energy everybody brings to this thing. Sean, his team, uh, you know, everybody that's doing the events, the obviously from the entertainers and all that. I mean, it's just, it's crazy what we do, obviously. So, we're going to bring that same energy, uh, you know, over to the East Coast side. And I think that's what everybody needed. So, here's a layout of it. I don't know if you saw some of this. I don't think you can quite see the track. Uh but it's it's kind of back uh over here behind the uh demo area where it says demo area where we got the little arena that's going to be happening in there. But we've got fishing ponds, catfish, bass, and I heard I heard that the record uh the record what was either catfish I think that was pulled out here was like 15 pounds and it's a release only catch and release only. So that same 15 pound is now a 20 pounder in there somewhere. Right. That means got what could be in here. Yeah, unless an alligator got him or something. No, I don't think there's any alligators in here. That'll add another degree of difficulty and excitement. We didn't tell you about the alligator races. If you if you see me passing Brian Harris at US Hammer, you know that's because they got an alligator chasing rowdy. What was your booth number though? Let's pull it up and show everybody where you're going to be at. It's 700. I'm right between the demo arena and the bathrooms. The demo and the Okay. 700. So, you see that right in the middle. You got probably one of the best spots. I mean, you're kind of in the exhibit area plus the the demo arena area. So, you can't you pretty much can't attend this event without walking right past you like multiple times, right? I'm looking forward to it. Now, we just bring a food truck right up there in that spot next to me. I'm not You know, they haven't even quite showed me where the food trucks are going to be. So, there's going to be some food, entertainment, the barns. We've got some indoor outdoor activity going on, but everybody gets um you know, the people if if they're thinking about exhibiting, I think we showed you it comes with it is a uh you know, if if you got the right booth that's got a 10 x10 tent. It's got the popup with the table, the chair, the the trash can, all that stuff. What Who'd you get for entertainment? You always come up with cool stuff. We can't tell you. You know, it's like, you know, everything we do. Look at our opening ceremonies. Look at I mean, how much did our opening ceremony at the fence show catch you off guard? I You know what? I'll just slip Susan Worly a $20 bill and she'll she'll let me know. But you've got some exciting stuff coming out, right? We got some new stuff this year. Some very new stuff. Uh you know, one of one of We listen to the customers. We listen to people. We try to cater to them. We answer our own phones. So, you don't very often have to talk to my uh my answering service. We never have an outside service, answer our phones, cuz we want to really hear from our customers. And there was a lot of customers out there saying, "Hey, with this with this system, we're we're not putting in concrete. We're not pulling out concrete. So therefore, we don't need we need we need a new quick pull. We need one that's a little bit more of an affordable, lighter, faster, but we want the same 10,000 lbs worth of pulling pressure. And there it is. That's it. That so I mean to Is that an actual foot right there that I see? It's our Bigfoot or Sasquatch foot. So it's uh it's looks like it kind of hugs the post though. That's a unique these arms. That wasn't before where it kind of wrapped around the post. is that that'll probably help stabilize it so it's not uh slipping off the post.
Well, two things there. One, when you put when you're putting when you're setting it up, cuz remember the handle and the and the foot leg are two separate parts. And it only totals to be like like 30 lbs between the two of them. And so with that said, while you're putting the chain on the post, it stands up the leg and also holds up the handle. So everything's ready to go once you got the chain set the way you want it. Then the other thing is when you're pulling, I don't want it to tip over. So you set the foot as close as you can to the post, whether it be a tost as it is in this example or a regular fence post. And then uh use it just like you would the regular the regular quickpull. So I mean, but this is the same basic the top part is basically the same that everybody's used to where you've got the chain goes through and you keep as you're going up you you pull the chain um into the slots, right? So you haven't changed that design. It's the foot design which is going to be a little easier to get in and out of uh of places. You're not trying to try to find a spot for all three legs anymore. No. And the other thing now, it's not going to pull out concrete footings or you're going to have a heck of a time trying to pull out concrete footings. However, if you're just pulling out, it's like a Tpost puller on steroids. Let's put it that way. That was our goal right there. the T cuz you got the Tpost where the driven post that that that just won't come out. This thing has more pulling power than a skid steer and it only weighs 30 lbs and it's a whole lot more affordable than than the um than a skid steer. Yeah, I'd say. So, you're still going to make your traditional one though, right? You could still those are going to still be available. Yes. And if you currently own one of our first quick pulls with the three legs, and you just want to buy the one leg, the junior one leg, we'll have that available, too. Oh, so you could get uh either one. So you I mean, so are you think some people are going to be stocking both on their trucks or you are you expecting um people to start switching over to these? Is that the plan? No, I don't I don't think anybody's going to switch because they're two different uh applications, two different uses. One of them is for driven posts, the other one's for concrete footings. And so I do foresee some of our current customers thinking to themselves, you know what, I'm tired of carrying around that tripod. That looks a whole lot easier because it only weighs like 15 to carry around that one leg. So that I see them buying the one leg as an accessory. However, if you purchase the quickpull junior and it comes complete with the leg, the chain, and the handle, and then later on you find a need to pull out concrete footings and you need a little more stability cuz that concrete footing is on a hill. let's say a sign on the side of the road, then you'll be able to purchase just just the tripod and use the same handle and chain. So, it's interchangeable. So, um but I mean obviously being that it's just uh there's no way you're going to have smaller people or women or something using that, are you? I mean, it's you're going to need someone big like you to stabilize that thing unless I'm wrong. Who you calling big, man? They like corn dogs. Wait a minute. That's who I'm talking about. I'm talking about the muscle right here. That's my muscle right there. She's only 5'2 and 120 lb. So, that answers my question. These things, you make something, you make it so that anybody can use it, right? I mean, and that's that's pretty cool. Anybody and it doesn't require an app, and it there's no maintenance to it because there's no hydraulics, pneumatics, and no batteries. It's it's just it it's just a simple well-designed lever. Yeah. Yeah. And the thing is what gets me is that when I first designed this this idea and uh patent it, it was the um it was just the idea that there were guys out there with hydraulic products that that didn't work as well and they required maintenance and they were heavier. They weigh 150 lbs. This, you know, so to go from a 50 lb tool down to a 30 lb tool that and then still have 10,000 lbs worth of pulling pressure. Yeah. I like that it's interchangeable.
That's a big plus. That means even if you wanted to carry both um both the leg, you know, the stands and stuff on your truck, you could just swap it out. So, that's uh that's really cool. Um hey, I know we're going to see you at uh demo days coming up March 26 and uh 27th. There's going to be all kinds of activities, the fishing, the um ponds, we've got entertainment, there's trike racing, there's going to be a slide. Um I hear there's a slide. Yeah, not slide into the pond, but just a regular slide. Why do you always got to go there? I saw that map and it said Splashbad and I like what were we thinking here Brian? So, lots of activities. Everybody uh get booked. You can go to fenceshow.com and get registered and uh it's going to be an exciting event and rowdy I can't tell you. Um you and Kelly uh have I I think I talk to you probably a half a dozen times a week sometimes, right? So, um not just not just your support, your friendship has been huge throughout the years. So, um always great seeing you. Tell Kelly we said hi. And uh I'm pretty sure the next time I'll physically see you will probably uh be coming up in the next few months. So over at Demo Days, I appreciate you. Hey, thank you for having me. I really appreciate it. All right, we'll see you guys. Yep. Thank you.
