Can't tell your team. Can't tell your family. Can't tell your friends. #team #family #friends

Episode Summary

In this episode, Brian T. Frederiksen highlights a common but often unspoken reality for business owners: the burden of carrying difficult problems alone. He explains that owners often cannot share their struggles with their team, because the team needs confidence; with their family, because they need stability; or with their friends, because they assume everything is going well. As a result, many leaders keep pushing forward even when they feel overwhelmed, isolated, or under intense pressure. Frederiksen connects that emotional isolation to the mission behind FWA and the broader fence and gate industry community. He says the organization was created to provide small business owners with spaces and events where they can connect with like-minded peers, share experiences, and find support. He points to the Fence Show and Security Expo in Las Vegas, educational programs, demo days in Florida, and Fence University as examples of resources built “for us.” His message is that while business owners may feel alone in their day-to-day challenges, they are not alone in the industry, and events like the Fence Show exist to bring that support to life.
