Hey, hey, hey.

All right, everybody. It is a This is a cool day. These are the moments. Sasha, we got Sean here. I'll introduce in a second. The These are those shows I look forward to because we get to talk to so many people. Not just one guest, but I mean, sometimes there's 30 guests on there. And uh so what is it today? It's uh Thursday, August 20th. Wait, I'm having one of those Back to the Future moments. remember professor Brown when he's like, "Well, when did I hit my head on that uh that sink and came up the flex capacitor?" So, August 20th, it was either uh August 20th or 23rd in 1999 is when I got my first fence license. So, I for some reason that always sticks in my head when you remember getting that license. So, uh, August 20th, we're what t-minus 40ome days, uh, from the fence show, our fourth show, and, uh, going to be our biggest one, I believe, because we're like 98 I think I told you this yesterday, Sash, like 98% um higher than um on at this time frame before the show on registration. So, super excited about that. Um, but I want to introduce everybody here. We've got um Sasha, our co-host that comes on every week with me. I can't can't thank you enough for this. The time you take away from your company and everything. You could pay me. I take do I take I take Benjamin's. It's breaking up. I think my signal's bad, but we'll circle back to him in a minute. But let's not forget who's really here, who we really came to see. Sean, what's going on, man? How you guys doing? Well, what was the last time we saw you? Let's tell everybody where we know you from. Well, I think we met last March in uh in the sunshine state of Florida. Yep. Yeah. At the demo days. At demo days. He's still got his shirt on. You're like honorary. Haven't had a scar yet. It looks a bit dirty, but I like it. You guys, you and Bob and everybody out there are what made I believe one of the people couple people that made Demo Days happen um to the level it did. your guys' property, 23 acres, where we did demo days and anybody that went to demo days. I mean, there was what close to three 400 people um from around that area, the fence companies and stuff that showed up. Um drop a comment and say see tell you like the property, but we did this at your facility, your property, and it was amazing. Tell everybody about 23 acres and where we did demo days. Yeah. So, um, it I was really unsure of what to expect when Bob told me we booked something. So, I was like, let's But, um, we've actually done a lot of lot of cleanup since then. We took a bunch of little fences down, cleared some area up, make more room for some more tents for you guys. Yeah, we're going to need it. We're going to need it. But, it was mighty warm. It was warm, but we had some good spots. And it's uh, you know, some good spots under some trees. Uh, the mornings were absolutely beautiful. I remember sitting out there cuz we got there early drinking coffee, looking over the water. So, you got two ponds out there. One of them had an alligator in it. Um, you know, which I think everybody that came got a video of because we're Oh, yeah. They were big fans of the alligator. So, where else do you get to go to a fence show and see an alligator, right? Only at demo days in Florida. But only complaint the only complaint I have, Sean, is I couldn't catch a fish. All these kids were out like they were so awesome. They were fishing. They were catching and I was like, "What the heck, man?" I think that alligator had it in for some Aussie meat. I think each other need a crocodile out there. Yeah, that's right. They wanted They wanted some Aussie down under on the Barbie or whatever they do, right? Hey, so while we got you here though, since obviously we're gonna be back there um February 5th, 6th, am I saying that right? Yes, sir. Correct me. drop the drop it in there uh in the messages. But we're going to be back demo days in Florida again, bigger and better. Um obviously we've got some we've already started setting stuff up out there. We've got stuff that's been already been brought out there. You guys have made some upgrades to the property
Just for us. Everything from Wi-Fi to like you said clearing some extra room for the more tents, making our demo areas even bigger and better. Um I believe KCO's coming back out to do some fencing again and do some live uh you know fence being built for if you're look looking to get into some a industry stuff. We've got a lot of the same people and I believe some of the um people are probably coming on here are going to be back to demo days. Um it's Yeah, it's going to be fun. We're super excited because now we got a good plan of the layout of the place and what we can really do out there. And uh I mean we had kids what playing on the slides fishing. They were doing trike racing. Uh the water thing you turned on. I mean Oh yes. The tricycle I painted the fence at the tricycle racetrack now. It's called the Astatula 500. I don't know if you saw it on Facebook. I didn't see it. I see. Yeah. So, a friend of mine, well, there's a couple of uh not so young kids trying to race around those. I think those tricycles didn't look too good with those older gentlemen trying to race each other. We keep the paramedics just real close by. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So, again, we can't thank you guys enough for everything you did for us, you guys. I mean, Oh, yes. We could have pulled off that event the way we pulled it off anywhere but at your guys's place. So, we are I mean, we just couldn't be any happier to be coming back. And I I'm super exc I've been excited for seven months now. Yeah, I know. We're gonna be going up there in another month or so uh visiting with you and doing some uh laying out, marking out on the ground and stuff like that and stuff. Yeah. So, we'll be seeing you up there. What um what else you got going on, man? Anything exciting? Um, well, we've got actually I left my full-time job at the pharmacy and so now I'm at the farm full-time. Okay. So, um, it's given me a lot of time to find stuff to fix and and remove a bunch of weeds and we've got the pond all all cleared out and, uh, Bob's he's got plenty for me to do and he's he's jumping on making me do that. So, he's keeping me busy. Awesome, man. I can't wait to to see it out there and get the layout. We'll get the layout and stuff over to you. Uh hopefully. Oh. Oh, that's rude. Oh. Oh, hello. I'm on. Mary. Mary. I was looking at my picture in the corner and I'm actually on. Hi. Hi, Sasha. How you doing? I feel like it's stuff I want to do in five minutes. Oh, you got your five minutes. Go, Mary. I know you got everybody. First off, tell everybody who you are um and what company you're with and uh what you got going on at the fence show. I know you've got a pretty good size. Oh, I've got a lot of excitement. I'm Mary Cobb at from JC Gury Company. You know me from Mark and Mary. A lot of people know us. And we have so much exciting things this year at the fence show. We're booth number 715. We're close by you, Sasha, I found out. That's a party. There's a party going on. There's a party and there'll be party in our booth, too. So, we have some new things this year to share that a lot of people that come every year and come to visit us. We're going to have keep on fencing hats and keep on fencing shirts and I think that's kind of in demand. People are going to love to see those. We also uh we're just going to have a lot of fun things. We're going to have a spinner, you can win prizes. And if you come to our booth and place your fence sign order at the show, you get a 10% discount off your order. Now, who who wouldn't want that? So, everybody come and place your fence sign orders. Okay. Well, they can place them right there. They can order the order. Yeah. We're we're gonna have a little iPad thing and we can just they can design it if they don't know what they want. If it's a reorder, we can take care of that. Run their credit card and this place to go. We'll send it into production right from the show. Wow. I've never seen you guys do that before. Normally I know a lot of party
Action. Yeah. Is that that's all new? It's all new and we're so excited to um What? I'm reading what Susan put down. Okay. Now, the other thing is we're going to have a spinner and you can spin things. You could get special discounts. Oh, an and um hats, shirts, all kinds of fun things. But also, Mark just gave me this. Does everybody see it? What is that backwards? Are those license plates? Perfect. Backwards. It probably is. It's keep on fencing license plates. And we're going to have those at the show, too. But those are you can win those on the spinner or you get to buy one. One of the two. Those does that come with a year of registration for your car. Yeah. Especially in California, Mary. Yeah. The state of California is paying us to do it. Oh yeah. Well, tell everybody what you do, Mary. Um, so you're, you know, you're saying discounts and stuff like that. What What What are these discounts on? I mean, what do you guys make in signs? What's the difference between your signs? Um, what's the deal with it? Well, the fence signs people want, but they also want the foam backs. They also want decals for their uh metal fences and little things like that. There's quite a few things. And your vehicle magnetics and vehicle decals, you can also get 10% off of those. Anything that we print is 10% off at the if you order it at the show. And the other fun thing I'd like to add, gentlemen, and everybody watching. No one's ever called me a gentleman before, Brian. I wonder why. I feelriv wears a black cowboy hat. What can I say? That's the only reason she calls me one. Well, you're both gentlemen. But anyway, the other thing is when people check in for the fence show at the hotel at South Point, JC Guri is going to have gift bags for you as you check in. We're going to have some fun things in there. I'm not going to give it away, but it's really cool stuff. Should I tell people what's in it? It's Mary, it's your gift bag. I mean, I I think you should surprise people, but yeah, you can tell them. Uh, I want to surprise people. I'm not going to tell you, but it's really cool things. Things you've never done before. And so, when you check in, be sure and ask for it. I'm sure they will give it to you. But anyway, that's something else fun. Have I covered everything? Keep on fencing things. Um, that's the big deal. People love that. You know, my father started that in the 70s. He came up with the little guy and the keep on fencing. It was a bumper sticker. In the 70s, bumper stickers were the big deal, right guys? Everybody wanted them on their trucks, on their toolboxes. So now we've just expanding it to other items and people love to keep on fencing and it's and it's trademarked so it's it's J it belongs to JC Gray. Well, we needed to do that. It was my father's. He came up with it. So we need to keep it in the family, right? Yeah, I agree. So um let me think. I wrote things. Somebody's not answering the phone. Someone will be fired in about five minutes. Don't worry, I'll take care of you, Mary. Okay. Well, I'm trying to think if I covered everything. I made my list so I could cover everything because I five minutes goes fast and I talk a lot. I Well, I'll say a few things. I can't I can't thank you enough for all the sponsorships and all the stuff you do for us. Um, for FWA and and me personally since the very beginning when we first met at the very I remember I dragged you into our booth to talk about your phone sign. So, I want I mean the print. Oh, yeah. Hey, what's going on, guys? What is happening, man? Not too much. We just got home from work and hopped on here to get on with you guys. So, what's going on? That's a bad decision. Just to let you know, you can make better choices than that. That is true. Are you guys Are you guys ready for the fence show, dude? Absolutely. Yeah, we are packing show crates tomorrow. So, you've got um I I you got anything new coming? I know I kind of asked you this before. What do you got? You got
Anything new happening? We we have a few new products. Unfortunately, we can't uh talk on it yet um until we get there. Um but we have some exciting products that will that will be in the booth. Uh I think little sneak little little teaser. I'll give you a hundred later. Little teaser. Little one. The industry has been asking for it uh for for over five years now. So, um Awesome. Robots. Yeah, definitely robots. Like I've said before, we we our company needs to do an April Fool's joke of a automatic postpounder that just does it all by itself. So, let's So, let's tell everybody um that doesn't know who you are on here. I know I you know, a lot of us know who you are, but uh with Titan and everybody. So, tell everybody about um the Post Drivers. Yeah. So, I'm my name's Jameson. I'm with Titan Post Drivers. I'm the regional sales manager. Uh we manufacture uh gas, electric, and hydraulic post drivers. Uh available in all 50 states, Canada, you name it, we'll ship it to you. Yeah. So, you guys have been doing um you started with the gas ones, right? Then you went to electric. Give everybody a rundown on the company because I mean you guys I've been to your facility and uh you know it's it's you know it's it's really impressive to see how you guys are putting all these parts together. You're actually building some of these things and some of the parts. So tell everybody about it though cuz I think not everybody's understanding what exactly you're selling. So we we manufacture post drivers for uh a lot of applications everywhere. Anything from a ground rod all the way to your postmaster, your wing post uh application. And we got into uh the DOT applications as well for signposts uh stop signs etc. Um and we you know we offer them in in different power options. Uh we have gas, electric, and of course hydraulic. Um yeah. So yeah, I mean I I was always impressed with this stuff. I started, you know, we we do a lot of uh digging sets. So going to the pounding and watching you guys back there, it's changed the game, you know, it's changed the game. And I know we've discussed it before that, you know, pounding is not for everything or it is not for every application and we understand that. Um but we we feel that we bring a very competitive product to the market at a fair value uh with uh quality customer service. It's a pretty simple simple plan. What again on these postpounders things do these are you know how do these things when they go out on the job sites is there much maintenance on them? I'm always I get a lot of these questions about hey Brian I want to go to these pneumatic postpounders. Is there much maintenance and stuff involved in these things? But one guy said, "Well, you got to maintain these things every time you use them." What's the average guy do on these things? So, for for gas drivers, it's a uh you want to check the grease daily, change the O-rings yearly. You know, like with any machine, you take care of it, it'll take care of you. Um, we've got guys that have them out in the field for 5 years using them, you know, three to five days a week and not have, you know, never have a major breakdown with them. but they're also taking the time to, you know, ensure that everything is where it needs to be at. Um, our hydraulic drivers are essentially zero maintenance. Um, so, but do you do you have a do you have a warranty for if Brian Frederickson happens to use one, you know, is there a sort of caveat there to say, "Hey, there's no we can't guarantee anything if he uses it." Oh, dude. I couldn't get it out. What is that? It's so hot. Sam the man. Look at this. You know the thing. Your your system here doesn't let you know if you're the next one up. So, you're sitting on pins and needles the whole time. I Well, I don't know. She's not I don't know. I guess we don't know how that works. There must be a bunch of people back there, huh? I guess so. Yeah. She gave me a thumbs up. So, there's people. She's just popping them
On there. So, we'll go back to Jameson. Nice. Wow. Sam, what is happening, man? Dude, happy to be here. Can't wait for the fence show, man. Looking forward to seeing all our friends, seeing you guys and everybody else and all and the folks that jumped on before me. It's like coming back to hanging with friends. All we need is a couple of beers. We're good. Yeah, I feel like we need to bring Jameson back on. I was trying to fix some technical stuff while I was talking to him and you were trying to do like that and uh Yeah. So, I feel Jameson. So, I'm sorry if I was a little disconnected on that one. So, So, uh, oh, you're going to be on the show next week. Uh, I believe so. You know, uh, my my, uh, my administrative assistant probably has it all booked up for me, man. That's one of the good things about having good teammates, right? They get because I just got told that as well. So, you know, you know, that works out well. So, being a marketing guy yourself, you get this uh up 98% uh from where we were this time on August 20th before the show, up 98% is just amazing. So, we're super stoked. Brian, man, you you're doing such a good job, dude. You You should be very proud of yourself. You got a great team. You You've shown obvious great leadership, dude. You're killing it. You're awesome. Yeah. I make a lot of mistakes. It's the team in the back that fixes them all. But so, tell everybody about what's happening with.com. You guys are going to be there with a strong presence. Uh you're going to be of course involved. I mean, I don't even have to wonder. I know you're going to be involved in the instructor side of it. And you're actually doing pretty well on the instructor of the year rankings, too. So, uh what uh what's going on with.com? What can we expect this year? Yeah. So, we're uh we're bringing uh 12 of our team members. We got a big 20 by 20 booth. I think I'm teaching two or three sessions. I I I'm not sure, man. I'm just whatever I can do to help. You know, I'm all about education. I love uh I love trying to help the fence guys out and understand what's going on. Especially these days with AI turning everything upside down. Everybody, you know, is is just interested in what's going on there. So, uh you know, whatever I could do to help, that's what we're there for. So, what is do? Let's tell everybody what do is. Um I you know, I know a lot of people know who you are, but tell everybody what do is, what it does, your involvement in it, or your lack of involvement now that you've got like 8,000 people working for you. What uh what is the deal with do? Yeah, it's pretty awesome. We are the largest digital marketing agency uh serving the fence industry. This is our sole focus. We only work with fence companies, contractors, distributors, manufacturers and then like fence adjacent you know companies like my salesman and other companies. So it is all fence all the time. We do website design, digital marketing, um uh you know all the SEO stuff, paid ads, all that stuff. Anything that gets traffic to your website is what we do. Um and uh you know man I think uh it's been 10 years now focused only on fence for 10 years. 31 years in the industry in uh digital marketing total but 10 on fence man. I love it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I've watched you grow a lot even in the last um four or five years I've known you. It's hard to believe that that it's been four or five years. That's crazy. Yeah. We we're we're hanging right around 50 team members, man. We can you imagine 50 people that all we do is is marketing for fence companies. I if you would have asked me, I would have never believed it, man. It's We're very blessed and we and we love what we do. It's great. I think people underestimate our industry a lot. Uh you know, I I mean, I know when I when I was growing the show and I'm like, you know, you know me, I don't believe in chasing the same 500 customers. So, I go out and try to find new people and we started talking to uh tool companies, things like this, like DeWalt, all these other guys, and you start talking to them all, and you know, I we're finally breaking some barriers, and they're like, you know, you're talking to their teams, their marketing team. They're like, I never even thought
Of a fence show. And I'm like, uh they're like, "What do you mean?" I go, "Every one of these trucks is stocked with tens of thousands of dollars worth of tools." So, uh, it's amazing how much the the fence industry spends on equipment and tools. So, it's a completely like an untapped market for some of these tool companies. So, if you're listening and you're looking for a new market and you're tired of competing with 30 other people out there at the same shows, this is your show. I mean, the Fent Show in Las Vegas, right? Yeah, it's a great show. Uh, no question. And I, you know, I'm particularly grateful uh for the push uh in education. So you certainly have been a big voice there. Uh Sean King, a number of people that have uh you know, have brought uh a higher level of education to the fence industry and then the fence industry has embraced it. Man, these contractors are hungry to learn how to build better businesses. So uh they need to come out to the fence show because you have a great educational program going there, dude. Yeah. Oh, secure line. What's going on? Later. Mercy, Alex, you got to be on it, on it, on it. Oh, it's not there's not even a 3, two, one. You just get shoved off the diving board and you're in. It's crazy. She says it's a timer, but I don't see no timer. There's no timer. There's no timer. The day just starts, you know. Yeah. Good seeing both of you. I've uh I've watched about I guess longtime listener first time caller uh situation. I like that. I like that. Yeah. This will be our second fence show. We were at uh we did it. We had our first one with you last year and it was it was great. I had so much fun. We had so much fun. I we have a med. So I'm I'm Alec. I'm the I'm the owner of Securine Marketing. We're also It's always fun going after Sam. We're also uh fence fence and deck specific marketing agency for for this industry and it's been uh two and a two and a half years uh focused on this niche in particular. So it's been yeah been going it's been going great honestly. Yeah, we love the shows. Uh we love going in person. We could see people. We um it's hilarious because one of the things we learned really early on was uh because we were I talked to a ton of fence contractors every week. One of the things that I'm always pulling teeth on is trying to get their actual face on camera. Like every customer we have who gets comfortable on camera spikes their revenue and the ones who don't don't. And so when we go to the fence show we have we help them make some stories for their social media at our booth and we actually have a bucket full of cash. That's what we did last year at your show is we brought a bucket full of cash and um it's so funny to have like the owner and his son and his daughter and you know his brother and they're all coming to the booth and then I can't get any of them on camera and I'm like come on man like people love you. You you you built a business on your face like people love you. Let's let's build but it's it's a dangerous face and I d it wrong. Yeah. [ __ ] Is it the the phones that scary or the No, it's Brian himself that's super scary, dude. No, you should in my nightmares now. He's like, "Oh, he's on Facebook or he's here and I'm like, oh shit." I'm like, I wake up with a sweat and I'm like, "What happened, Brian?" He's, "Oh, yeah, just another You should have seen Sasha in Puerto Rico when we were down there interviewing the doctors, interviewing everybody. Once he got in his groove, you know, it was like Johnny Carson walking around. You know what I mean? from the best. But Brian's such a task master, Alex. He's like, "You got to do this. Get up the front. Hurry up. Do this." I'm like, "Bro, what happens? This is a charity event, man. Get to be helping people, not getting yelled at, you know, someone's got to be tip of the spear." Well, Alec, Secure Line Marketing, we appreciate everything you've been doing. I mean, you've been doing a lot of marketing and promoting the show as well. I see those. So, um, I do appreciate that. I see I see the posts
And I see all that and everybody listening, we appreciate all the posts you guys are making to help us promote this uh this show and get more people to that because that's how these things grow. Um it does grow through not just our networks but your networks and then we try to in turn share your stuff back into our networks. So everything you guys can do helps us and I appreciate what you're doing, you know, a lot. It does it does help a lot. I see it. Thank you very much. Yeah, it's been uh it was a great I mean it's it's been a great thing both years. We're definitely definitely excited for it. I loved um there's so many little touches that you put on the show last year that made it super special. Of course, the education those were like pretty intimate events. Like I had time anyone who came to my talk, I was able to spend one-on-one time with them after which is super cool and I can't do that every time. And then um just like even as a vendor having the people the impression the the characters walking up and down and the dance announcement at you know the what do they call the flash mobers and Yeah. Oh, you were out for the flash mobs. I was out for the flash mobs. There was the guy walking on the ball. Um he I He didn't let me, but he left his ball and I got I stood on it and I was That's dangerous. Yeah. To be doing around a bench show. Don't be leaving. It was a great event. We're We're definitely looking forward to it. We're uh you know, we're obviously a smaller, more boutique firm. Um so it's nice to get a lot of facetime with our clients. everyone, you know, everyone at this point, our network's really starting to to recognize us and they like being able to to to access us and, you know, it's it's great. It's a great event. It's a great event. So, you'll be uh you'll be Oh, he's gone. I knew Al what's what's going on, man? [gasps] Oh, what's going on? Many, many things. And it's exciting to be here. Thank you, Brian. I appreciate the invite. No, man. Man, I mean, you are invited anywhere and anytime, anything I'm doing, man. I appreciate you all everything you you you and Fence Armor does to support us throughout the years, man. It's uh it's an honor for us to have you here, to be honest. So, I appreciate it, man. Well, you're very kind as always. It's um yeah, it's wonderful to be with an organization who treats its members with the respect that they deserve. To be honest with you, there's not many organizations who do that today. Yeah, I appreciate it, man. We appreciate you. So, what I mean, speaking of demo days, uh the last time last event I saw you at anyway, that was uh of ours was demo days. So, uh what do you think of that, man? I know you were right out there on the edge uh that corner. How was that kind of fun? Was it different? It was perfect. In fact, if you're doing it again, which you probably are. I don't know. I haven't keep up kept up with everything, but I'd love to have that same spot again. Yep. I think I think I told her to uh when I was talking to Sus make sure she holds that just in case. So I believe it's probably already held for you. Wonderful. We'll be there. It was a great event. You know how I feel about uh you know my my family in Portugal always tells me where do you go? I I said I go where there's sun and coconuts. Well, look look at look how Susan said Susan said you already purchased your spot. So that's why I Who knew? Thank you, Susan. She's an amazing amazing assistant you've got. She's she really takes care of all of all of the members. But I she makes everyone feel special and that's that's important. Yeah, she's awesome. She Yeah, she holds a lot of She's mean. She is mean, but I do love her. Yeah. So, I I for everybody that doesn't know who you are, um I know I could I we're close, but let's let everybody else know and get a little closer to you as well. What about Fence Armor and about you and and the stuff you got? Well, I'm Al Martins and uh certainly I represent Fence Armor. Fence Armor is a company that really prevents, protects, and prolongs the life of
People's fences, decks, and you know, other products essentially that are made out of wood. So, you know, we believe that if you can build a fence once, it should last forever. and forever in the sense of a lifespan of a a typical consumer. If your fence can last you 25 years, why not? There's no reason it can't. You can use wood posts with rot guard to prevent rot. You know, things aren't the same anymore that they used to be with both lumber and with the treatments of them. Um, do you need steel posts? Why not? You can have them, but we have effectively created products that will either work with wood posts, will work with metal posts and like a king plus to prevent the uh edges to be destroyed by weed whackers cuz you know landscapers love their weed whackers. And you know they jump out of their trucks every weekend and off they go. Um, and then of course we have stain, we have close caps, um, we have products for the chain link industry. And I think a lot of people haven't seen our easy turn product, but it goes at the bottom of um, chain link to prevent the weeds and grass from, you know, growing up in between the fabric and effectively making it really difficult for landscapers to do any trimming. And it makes it difficult for well let's just say I think it becomes a little more unsightly when you have grass growing up in between your the fabric of your chain link and it also makes it difficult for robotic mowers to see the edge of the chain. Whereas if you have a nice black strip those mowers that are becoming more popular see that with their optical systems and register it as a barrier. So anyway, that that's a side point, but effectively that's what we do, Brian, and I I know you know that, but hopefully now your your viewers know that. Yeah, we want them to see that. So, you know, I have these um these wooden legs that come off my bed that I I hit my toe on a lot. Do you have anything to protect the edge of the bed a little bit longer? I'm thinking that'd be a whole other segment of natural. Yeah, that's I think that's a whole other podcast, my friend. It's really showing. Yeah, my nails are chewing up the bed leg a little bit. I'm just want something to make my bed last longer. Oh, he's gone. Who let this guy in? Who let me? Is it my Is it my turn? Finals. What's happening, man? Man, FWA gang, how are you? First of all, how are you guys? Oh, man. We are running. We are running. This is uh the the the 60 days before the show is when everything ramps up and every every Zoom and and meeting call ends with somebody mad that the other, you know, you know, it's like it's like one of those, but at the end, we pull off this amazing show. So, we're we're loving it. This is the fun for me. This is a fun time, man. We get stuff. We get to see the badges coming and the cups and everything. But, uh Wood Defender, man, you guys have really came on the scene, man, for us especially lately. So, what tell everybody about Wood Defender and you, man. So, Zach with Wood Defender. I've been with Wood Defender for about four years now. We've been a part of the FWA for three, I believe. This will be our third year round. My first year coming out to Vegas. So, really excited about that. I'm here at HQ. Man, I wish this was like my nice little thing back here. But I'm in Mansfield, Texas. That's what we're based out of. So, we've been here since 1952 cranking out some awesome wood protection products for stain. Much like Al, his business is in wood protection. So is ours. So, uh, we're an oilbased penetrating stain built out of raw materials from the ground up. Don't cut any corners. Best warranty in the industry. We're excited, man, to get after it. So, I'm happy to come out there in Vegas and hang out with you boys. Well, maybe a few of you. I don't know about all of them. Some of them, right? A couple of them. Yeah. But, yeah, we got a new product to showcase you guys. We're in booth 1310. We got a little education going on, too. You get to see this space in an education piece. And then, I think I heard something about maybe some mainstage action. So, we'll see what happens. Oh, nice. Yeah, I know. They're starting to fill the stage up. Sash, what do you think of the staining
Game, man? I know you're, you know, you're a lot on the steel, but what do you think of all these stain and wood protecting stuff? Look, I'm I'm a painter's son. My dad forced me to paint when I was little. He has a painting company. Blew my mind. We did a lot of oilbased. Look, staining, it's if you want to protect wood, you got to stain it. Like, there's no two ways about it. Like that's right. You know, you can talk about putting wood up, but if you want it to last, it it definitely needs a stain. And and look, oilbased stains, Australia's pretty pretty liberal. Um it's harder and harder to get, but it's still some of the best paint for wood. Get, you know. Yeah. And that's that's a good point. And to to Al's point, too. I mean, there's no there's no reason in saying that just because you build a wooden fence, it won't last 10, 15, 20 years. So, that's kind of why we here as well, right? We want to protect that investment and uh you can restain the same fence repeatedly every three to five years what have you. So um there is a lot of the restrictions on the oil based stuff in this country. We're very cognizant of that and we stay well within all the means for that. So we're really happy with our distributor partners and our partnerships with you guys to be able to keep the keep the ball rolling. So we're pumped about it. Yeah. So Sash, you're in California. So talk about regulations and rules on stuff. Do you do you have to use like I don't know stain that is naturally fallen from a tree or something? Yeah, you have to go. Yeah, there's a tree that you squeeze. Yeah, you squeeze. Yeah, it comes from a someort of a leaf or something. Yeah, like this. Yeah. Leaf stain. It's all just It's just acorns. Just acorn oil all over the place. Yeah. Start your car. You can paint with it and that's what you have to put in your diesel trucks otherwise you can't drive. Perfect. Yeah. Hey, the fact that peon is like the number one color is making sense now, Right. Yeah, that makes Yeah. So, none of Yeah, 100%. So, so, uh, tell everybody about Wood Wood Defender, though. How do they get a hold of Wood Defender? Because I mean, uh, I was super excited to see you guys coming back with So, we'll be at the show, uh, booth 1310. Call us. I think you guys have all the info, but, um, we have some good distributor partnerships as well. Master Halco is a good one, too. I'll be at the booth. We'll have some education time and come by and see me. I'd love to talk to anyone who has questions. That's awesome. Yeah, I think Master Algo's got some good giveaways coming this year, too. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. It's going to be fun. So, yeah. And then you always bring uh you got the bucket girl that goes around still. The bucket girl might be there. I don't I haven't confirmed it yet. I have to check. She might be coming out. You'll have to come by and see. We might be hiding her. Who knows? It might be me in the bucket. I might be like, "Oh, we got the five gallon bucket girl. You're gonna be the five gallon bucket girl. the 55gallon drum. So, I'll be the 55gallon drum with the Fender drum girl. there you go. We'll catch up with him later. What do we got with Ashton? How are you, man? Oh, man. Hey, guys. I was just jumping on saying hi for a bit. I'm actually uh business partners with Alec. Alec Nummire. He said he just jumped on, but I I just got sat down at the airport. Wanted to jump in and say hi. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah. more the marrier, man. Thanks for coming on. Yeah, you're not going to get away. Uh if you jumped on, you know, we're going to pull you on. So, where you're uh tell everybody who you're with and uh you're with Alex the same, but tell everybody about the company again. Sure. Sure. Uh yeah, Ashton standard with Secure Line Marketing uh with it's been a few years now and we've been just focusing on doing digital marketing just for fence contractors. So, we do a lot of SEO and Google ads and Facebook ads.
Our Facebook ads have been going like crazy. Uh I'm speaking this uh this year on uh the difference between Google ads and Facebook ads because they have different target markets, different target uh if you're set up with a really good website that already has a lot of information about you and converts really well, then Google ads might be better. Um if you really love getting in front of the camera and can talk pretty easily in front of the camera, then Facebook ads could be better. All right. So, there's a little pros and cons of each of them and then uh so we'll we have a pretty deep dive into that and we're excited to share. Nice. How big is the team over at Pearline? Uh we have a team of about I think it's 11 or 12 now. Um yeah, it's a little bit uh really excited growth this this last year. So, been pretty fun. Alex got cut off because we have a task master behind cutting everyone off. So, real quick, how did you get into because Alex was saying Yeah, it's only been a short term. Tell us how you got into the fencing side. Sure. Um, well, I've been a web master forever. Um, but I, uh, married a horse girl, um, about 15 years ago and so I live in my little nerd area and then every weekend we go out and we and so we spent a lot of time building barns and uh, and finding a fence contractor has always been tough for a depending on where we were. We lived in Montana for a long time and now we're in Oregon. Um, and so we but we made some really good friends and since I've been doing websites and just website development, um, I built a lot of websites for contractors of all types. Um, and we found fence fence contractors really like systems we built for general contractors and whatever like we really nailed dialed it in for fence contractors and it had a lot of success. So um, yeah. So we just dived all in. Awesome. So, let me ask you, Ashton, you said web master, so I'm assuming that's like a black belt 3D, whatever. How did Brian become a web master? That's a very good question. Brian, is there a wand? Do I have to uh I mean, is there like some sort? Uh, yes. Dude, do I get a do I get a belt? Uh, I haven't seen the belt. I have seen ninja swords. Like, there's a little Some people give out the ninja swords. That's little samurai swords. Not full length, but they're a little short. Um, yeah, there's a test. Anyway, yeah. So, that's all of us for the kids. I made it I made it all the way up to Wee Below, you know, at the in the Boy Scouts. Oh, yeah. It's amazing what we do for a patch, you know. Oh, totally. Both. That's funny you mentioned that because I met Alec in school. He joined my patrol in Boy Scouts. We're both Eagle Scouts in the same troop, but he joined when he was a little little kid. I'm like four or five years older than him. Um and then we rem like five t years ago and we're like like oh dude it's perfect. So it's great to Yeah. Boy Scouts kind of built our Oh gone. Hey Carrie. Hey there Brian. How are you? I'm excellent, thanks. How are you all doing today? It seems like you're having a lot of fun. It's always It's always fun. It's always fun to see I love to talk to that many people. It's like going to a show, right? It is. You're right. It's so much fun going to a show because you get to meet all kinds of people in person and, you know, get to know people and it makes things so much more fun. Yeah. So, how have you been? So, Sash, do you know Karen? Yes, I met her at um we met at the Demodise. We've we've met a few times here and there, but we haven't really had a chance for a conversation. And now that I know you live in California and I know you're from Australia, then there's there's some conversations we could have for sure. There you go. That probably be inappropriate, but we can definitely have I could tell you about being a exchange student in Australia. That was [laughter and gasps] that's awesome. Yeah, an interesting experience. Yeah, So, I feel like I see you all the time. You are now officially the face of Easy
Louver. Used to be you and your husband. I don't even I I I don't even imagine. He was on last time. We did it together last time. I know. But since then it's like all the events I keep popping running into you and stuff like that. So, uh how's business though? You guys I mean you've changed the louver business in our industry. You just have. It's it's going great guns. I mean we're um Yeah. So, for those of you who don't know, we we sell this bracket and uh it makes it really easy to make a louvered project of any kind. And something I've been staying really busy with lately is trying to find installers or builders, contractors in different areas where I have homeowners asking me, they want to make this. And it's like, wait, we don't want to do it ourselves. We want to hire someone. So, I'm really focused on building up our network. Wow. There you go, you guys. I mean, just this is just a What is this? One of those news breaks right here, everybody listening. Hey, uh, if you're looking for some work and you're looking She's got some leads. kind of get a hold of Karen, see what you can do. Drop uh drop Karen's or give us your email address or something or how do you want people to get a hold of you on that? Oh, it's so easy. Easyloover.com. L O U Ver. And like Gary said, you can spell it anyway and you'll still find us because he like got all of the names, but then I'm I'm the one who answers it. So, you can support AD or Karen or you know, it's easy to get a hold of me. That's awesome. How did you guys come up with this? I know I've asked you this before, but there might be some new people listening, which there probably always is. How How did you come up with this? I mean I mean you guys weren't in the fence industry, right? No, we weren't. Um Gary, he built a a louvered project by hand, like an entryway to our backyard, and he was looking for something like this, and there wasn't such a thing. So, he did it the hard way, and then he it kept turning around. So, now we're manufacturing and selling this. So, it's it's pretty fun. It's nice when an idea goes all the way to a patent which will be effective 91. There's something to tell you. Yeah. So, by the time we're there at the fence show, it it'll be official all the way through the whole process. That takes That's crazy. I feel like we're on Shark Tank. Y offer you 10% for millions, right, Brian? Yep. Yeah. We're going to offer you uh what? She's not going to take it now. They're just they're moving along, rocking and rolling. So, you you'll be at the fence show. Do you know your booth number already? Uh we're we're in 401 right when you walk in the door and Oh, yes. It's We're going to be with a bunch of folks who we've done um booze with before and we're excited about that. We always have a great time at these shows and you guys put on such a good show in Las Vegas. So, anybody who hasn't been there needs to come. This will be my third one and it's a gamecher. It's just so much fun to show up and you learn so much. Not just the education se sessions are incredible, but also just from the one-off conversations you have with people. So, it's really a good thing. That wouldn't be good conversation if you're talking to Brian. No, he can't hold conversations. No, luckily I keep moving. I keep moving. Brian never met a stranger. He's He can have all kinds of conversations. I love it. No, I love it. I look forward to it all year. I mean, I I it's like we don't sleep for a week and it's like I get up at like 4 in the morning energized, ready to go. So, and I I swear to God, every time on Friday after the show's done, we sit in our room at, you know, after we all meet for dinner and stuff and I I literally sit there and I go, I wish we had another show next week. Every time. Just feed your energy. There it goes. It's Oh, we lost. Hey, what's up? What's going on, man? I'm here to talk about easy louver brackets. Yeah, I just thought you have that. Brian, I can't hear you for some reason. Let me Oh, you can't hear. Can you hear me? I don't know why I can't hear y'all. I
Could hear Karen just now just fine, but I couldn't hear y'all two. Oh, no. We're on. Let's pull him off and pull him back on. Oh, we'll have to pull We have to go back and pull it. Rowdy, what's going on, man? What's going on? is I had to get on your podcast just to catch up with Sasha because that's how busy he is. Cuz I want to know when we're going to do the Californiaifornian demo days. Oh. Yes. Why are you always Why are you always doing that, Rowdy? Why can't Why can't we ever just be happy with what we got? Because we got to build this this uh this industry. We got to let them know that there's people that care. People that are just not about customer service, but also getting out products to help people make it more easy. Make it easier. Are you sure? Are you sure you could be on this while you're driving? We gota get some easy movers out there for you. So, this reminds me of those uh those uh those episodes they play on t on the when you're scrolling through your uh Facebook and those shorts and he's got that guy that's like reporting in to like he's calling into the the court, you know, for his his hearing or something and he's calling in and he's talking to the judge and he's driving and they're like, "Aren't you Oh, no. I'm not driving. Look, look, I'm not driving. That's what they say. Aren't you appearing for a suspended driver's license? Oh, no. I'm not driving. What would be really bad is if the guy was eating or texting at the same time that he's doing that. Rowdy, tell everybody about NW QuickPaul. Tell everybody that's listening. W QuickBo, we're going to be there in that same booth 401. Soon as you walk in the door with the Easy LE and Emma Gardner and Orlando Hinge, I believe, is supposed to be there, too. We're all sharing a big big booth, so you can get a big big variety of the show. Nice. Nice. I guess it's that's going to be a that's going to be a rocking booth. It's going to be a happening booth. Serve a barbecue. So, you you got back after your uh epic epic journey around the country. So, you're back in Washington. What's happening um up there? Have you you got anything else in the plans? What's the next event? What anything else going on or you just staying up there until the show? Uh no, I am going to be at the uh DOT in Kernney, Nebraska here at the end of September. They actually cut into my elk season if you can believe that. The last two days kind of pissed me. Well, I mean, it is what it is. I guess guy has got to make a living. But after that, then I'll be in Las Vegas in October. And also, we have some big big news coming out here in a couple of weeks. I want to keep underneath my hat until But when it does, I really want your guys support on helping me to launch the big news. Okay. Let us know. Be a game changer for Quickpull. Oh, nice. So, what is QuickPole? Tell everybody real quick before we get cut off. What is uh what is it and how do they get it? It's a lightweight It's a lightweight uh post puller that pulls out concrete footing with 10,000 lbs worth of pulling pressure certified by OSHA. Comes in an 8 in box and you can go to NW quick pull to get it. Wow. Is that hook up to a Bobcat or what is it? It folds up into an 8 in box. You take it across the yard. So it doesn't tear up your landscaping like the Bobcat. So that I have like three of them down there in Las Vegas fence. So I need to bring an 8 inch box with me. No, it comes in the 8 inch box. It comes with an 8 inch box. It comes inside the 8 inch box. Sasha's mind just went sideways on us. I do have three of them. I I do have three of them at Las Vegas Fence. I think we're going to be using one to pull something out next week. So, it's definitely worth checking out, everybody. NWQ quickpull. Uh, and maybe Susan can get it spelled correctly in the chat, so people look it up. And I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure it'll pop up if you type it in Google. Woohoo. Yep, it will. Love it.

He can put a fence together by Guys, if you can hear me. I can't hear you. For whatever reason, my mic's broken now. It's It's so cool. He has tools that make building a fence like so so much better. He he does the um the no dig kind of system and he he puts his tools up there and lines things up and he has this awesome level and all it's it's pretty spectacular. So you got to check out tools. Do on all these tools. Do you need a little decal that has your company name on it so everybody knows where to get the tool? that's a fair question. That's a fair question. Very fair question. Yeah, Rowdy, you too. Who can't hear me? Maybe. Yeah, Rowdy, when you going from uh stickers to decals, you call them, Mary? Yeah, either one works. Quality. Rowdy looks frozen. That way it's identifying it. You too, Rowdy. Yeah, like like some little bitty little bitty ones like that. Little we can do little tiny ones like Oh, that's pretty. I love the color. We can do it. I I'm always a salesperson thinking of things how we can help you. Hey, uh Evans, since you didn't get a chance earlier, tell everybody about wing tools. I know Karen did a pretty good job explaining it, but uh what is this wing tool stuff? Oh, Karen did excellent around. They fly around. What's the deal with it, man? Well, it's wing tools primarily focused around winged style posts. So, postmaster post, lifetime post, postmaster V3s, unit post, works on Zpost, even works with King Plus. It works with regular 4x4s. So, these uh drive your post to height, set the post, and it locates your all your 2x4 without any math involved. You know, I never knew that. I never knew the name wing tools was for wing post. I mean, I know that's ob I've always seen you use the wing post when you did it, but I never realized that was the what the name was for. Yeah, it's primarily focused around uh wings. It started out life around start wings. That's awesome. Well, uh you guys will be at the fence show, so we appreciate that. Susan, um before we go, we want to thank everybody for coming on. Jameson, what's up, man? Hey, what's going on, man? I just left. Bring him back. There he is. Yeah, this is a bad Verizon. I'll just tell you this. We should be sending this to Verizon. It's too many people on at once, I think. Let's pull Yeah. Let's pull We're gonna say bye to everybody. We're
Going to give Rachel a second to come on here. Does that help? Is that better? Uh, we'll have to pull pull her and then we'll bring we'll bring her back on for a special uh show. Sash, that that was Oh, hi Sasha. I can hear you. So, I want again I want every I can't hear you. I don't know. Every Maybe that's what it is. Maybe it's at my end, huh? Yeah, it's probably Go ahead. So Rachel, you didn't get a a platform today, so we just want to hear a little bit about like what you guys do, what we what we can see at the show. Tell us a little bit about My Salesman. Absolutely. Well, My Salesman, as everybody knows, is a lead qualifying tool um made by a fence guy for the fence industry. We've been at this since 2012 and we are continually to making new features and reinventing um things that need to be, you know, looking fa forward facing to the future. And so we have a lot of new features that we're really excited to explain what they are and how they're going to help you. Um, not only are the new features there, um, but we have a new product and Oh, wow. that is something that we actually built for Empire Netting and Fence and for our organization here under Crown Co. And uh, we've made that possible to um, get everybody else who wants to take a look at that product. It's called My Workflow and we're really excited about it. And we have a couple new team members. So, we have Cheyenne Dostster with our team and she is a fence contractor. Um, but we kind of got her on uh I mean, she's just like everybody else, right? But, uh, she came to be on a part of our organization and we're so thrilled to have her. Um, amazing. And then, of course, Randy Berger, um, who is going to be teaching a class. So, he came in. He of course is a class. It was a high school classmate of all of ours and he's going to be teaching about different uh systems and connecting them all which is something that he's done for our organization under Crown Co. is really kept put us on pipelines and workflows and all the things that have made us successful and it's going to continue to make us successful as time goes on. Um, again, we're looking at the future, not just as a software company, but as somebody who walks in the fence contractor's shoes every single day. Um, we're looking to, as we grow, we want to be able to be relevant um to help other contractors win. So, three initiatives that we work on is removing roadblocks, speed, and communication. That's an internal thing that we want to cascade the message to what we consider partners like anybody using our software. It's not just a commodity, right? We actually give our heart to our contractors and uh partner with them because we want to see them win. It's extremely important. If you or anybody in on this um podcast knows Matt Warner, he knows that uh that's number one in our book. Our we need to take care of people and that's uh that's what we're here to do. And I I am just really really thrilled to be a part of all of this. Um, being amongst entrepreneurs and people in our industry fuels my uh my soul and I love to see and help them win. So So what uh So if you want to shout out to everyone because I'm sure we're going to get cut off soon. We got a taskmaster behind us who cuts us off. What booth can everyone find you out at the fence show? 1231. How did you get such a good number? We'll talk to man. Hey, how you doing, brother? For everybody that's listening, this is uh Brian Dixon, BD Loops. Probably one of my oldest friends and contacts in the industry. We go back 20 years, 20ome years. So, uh always good to have you on, man. You look like you're at work. I'm at work today. Yeah. Got got the whole thing going on. But yeah, we're we're doing good. Yeah. I love his new office, too, man. You are you in the conference room? I'm in the conference room. Yeah. We do training, too. circular conference room where he's got like all the offices around it is pretty pretty pretty cool. Yeah. So, um tell everybody about Bey Loops, man. Um I think if you're in the gate operator access control world, you already know about Bey Loops, but let's let's try to grab somebody that's listening that that's like, "Wow, I didn't never heard of them before."
Yeah. So, Bey Loops, we make pre-formed loops. Loops are vehicle detection devices. You find them on gates, stores, parking, drive-thru, access control equipment. So if it's barrier arms, slide gates, swing gates, the loops are what texts the vehicles there to stop it from closing on it or as a method of free egress so you're free to go out. Yeah. Yeah. And I I think it's second to none and I think a lot of people will say it. I mean, you get a beady loop, it just doesn't fail. It works out of the box, man. And it's in this case the bag, right? And the box it came in and it's just going to work. I mean, it's been tested two, three times and water tested and whatever ways you I've been in your facility and you literally test each one. Uh Sash, have you done much gate operator stuff? Have you heard of be loops? Uh, not mo most of our gate stuff was in Australia like when I was running the fence company back then. We do a lot of loops but uh you know that's all sort of since I've been in the states. I've been on the supply side but I have definitely know BD loops even as an Aussie. So it's definitely there's not many people in the states that don't know BD loops. That is for sure. Yeah. So you guys got and and I happen to know you guys got the um you got you know in ground loops, you got saw cut loops. Tell everybody about the difference and and I think that we can't teach this enough uh the difference between the two because you don't just throw one, you know, I'm sure you could probably figure out how they work, but what's the what's the difference in them? So loops are for existing roadways. Those are more popular ones. That would be existing concrete, existing asphalt. And you saw cut in, you push the wire in, you seal with loop sealant. We offer the loop sealant, too. the direct burial loops. If ever you can, you always want to get that one in over a socket. You won't see it. It looks better. Um, nothing can really get to it. You know, it's in six and concrete. You can't find it. Uh, but that one goes into any new construction applications. So, think new concrete, new asphalt, pavers, dirt, and gravel road. Um, but like I said, sockets are the more popular one, and those are mostly what we sell is free form socket loops, uh, which is the better way than hand wrapping with a spool of wire. And yeah, that's what we do. Just loops. We don't do the detector module. We just do the loops and all the accessories with it. So blades for installation, uh loop sealant for sealing it in. And we provide a lot of support on on the product, too. So be it design, uh after tech support, um or hey, even if it's not my loops, I'll still talk with them about it and make sure that the system's working and they make sure they know what's wrong with it if there is a problem. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Brian, I know we're going to see you at the show. Um, and by the way, I'm going to drop some links, you guys, to some videos. Brian has been nothing but supportive of every education event we've ever done. Anything that we've ever had a question on, needed help on, you've always been there for us. So, um, thank you for that and the support on you do for the Yeah. A little plug on that. I'm doing the training at the fence show. Yes. So, I I will be I will be at the event show uh getting our hands dirty with loops and and actually hooking them up to detector modules, seeing common problems with them, things to look out for, things to make you more efficient. So, I mean, it's it's really a class for yeah, the new guys, but also the people that have been doing it for a long time to make it more efficient and learn the tips and tricks that you know. Yeah. And we appreciate you coming and doing uh some training. It's it's it's huge. And uh the get operator uh class is probably one of our busiest ones so far with people signing up. So we're expecting it to be busy. Uh that's two days going on um on Monday and Tuesday before the expo hall opens on Wednesday. So um get signed up, get your full throttle passes. Um and you're never you're never going to be in a situation where you're going to get this much kind of education at once and from people that really know what they're talking about. And every single time I you know listen to you or do something even with this loop related to training, I learn something new every single time. So, it's uh you know, like you said, experienced or inexperienced, it's definitely worth uh sitting through the the class and learning something on gate
Operators. Brian, thank you for everything you're doing.
